More about the Judith Montgomery Family...

The Judith Montgomery Family is a mixed group with a rich harmony and joyful spirit of the Lord. Judith has been writing songs since she was a child. Her daughter, Megan, is following in her footsteps. Judith and Megan penned 2 originals on their newest Chapel Valley project titled, “Starboard Side”. They travel where God opens doors for their ministry to spread the gospel. This family has been traveling for over 25 years. Last year, JMF traveled over 14,000 miles ministering for God and booked over 100 dates. You will find their ministry's concerts encouraging and inspiring to the listener at various venues. They have ministered in song for revivals, weddings, banquets, funerals, fairs, festivals, and special occasions as well.

The Family

Judith Montgomery

Judith started in ministry over 25 years ago as a soloist. She currently sings lead, alto, and soprano. She enjoys songwriting and managing the bookings. She was raised in a Christian home and was saved at a young age. She has been involved in church all her life! Her dad and mom sang in local revivals before and after she was born. She was raised in a home that listened to and sang Southern Gospel Music. She fell in love with it! As a child she recalls begging God to teach her how to play the piano. When she was first married, a local singing group needed a pianist. When they found out she could also sing, she was placed into the group as a soprano vocalist/pianist. Over time, she sang in 3 local groups before God called her out to sing as a soloist. When she answered the call to sing solo, it was a hard decision, but she knew God’s calling. God has been faithful to her over the years. She remembers people asking her to fill positions in other groups, but every time she prayed about it, God always said “no”. She never dreamed that she would be singing as a group with her own children down the road of life. She currently serves the Shoals Senior Citizen Center as their Director and enjoys supporting the community seniors. For hobbies, she enjoys taking outdoor walks, helping on the farm, caring for the farm animals, playing piano, writing songs, and talking with her kids.

Marold Montgomery

Marold, Judith's husband, is the driver and sound technician for the ministry. He was saved at a young age and has attended church all his life. He works full time at his family’s print shop. His grandfather started the printing business and his dad has continued the legacy. Marold and Judith have a farm that he maintains with the help of Graham and Justin. The family has 20 head of cattle and 50 free-range chickens. When not traveling or working, he loves to deer hunt and fish. The family processes their own deer. Fun fact, since he lives just a few miles from work in the country, he has the ability to drive a 4-wheeler to work.

Megan Montgomery

Megan sings lead and soprano. She is also a songwriter and media manager for the ministry. Megan was 12 years old when she gave her heart to the Lord. She began singing at the young age of 3 and a half with the world renown song “Jesus Loves Me”. Through family’s encouragement to sing, her interest turned into a passion for ministry in song and word. Megan is also a Special Education Resource Teacher. Her appeared “fountain of youth” comes in handy to receive extra incentives such as balloons, stickers, kids cups, half-dollar coins, and much more. Be sure to ask about her stories sometime, and she will talk your ears off with funny things that have happened over the years.

Justin Montgomery

Justin is the youngest sibling in high school. When he chooses to sing, he will sing a few choruses at their concerts. He also helps with equipment setup and the merchandise table. Justin has a growing interest in playing drums and can keep a basic rhythm during the occasional congregational song. He was saved at the family's home church, Weisbach Community Church. Justin has a growing fascination with policemen, firefighters, and EMTs. He also enjoys being outdoors and shooting his bow.
